Knecht Audio has developed the DampEcht L damping device to absorb vibrations from the cabinet of massive components such as power amplifiers, large integrated amplifiers, shelves with heavy vinyl players or components weighing more than 70kg. DampEcht L can also be fitted to top-of-the-range DAC models with large chassis and heavy weight.

The principle of DampEcht L is similar to the junior model DampEcht M, only the size and weight are increased to maintain efficiency. But it is noticed that installing the DampEcht L on smaller audio components gives excellent results, the improvement in the sound of the audio system is more obvious than with the junior model.

We can formulate the principle that when the mass of a component increases, the size of DampEcht should be increased, but when the mass of a component decreases, the efficiency of DampEcht does not decrease and it is not necessary to reduce it to M version.
